Ever since the first years of the festival, one of COE’s priorities has been to take some of the films to other cities, stimulating and encouraging the annual activity of distributing films nationwide from emerging cinemas. A packet of films from the next edition of the Festival will also circulate on the screens in some Italian cities with which COE has worked for many years, including : Ancona, Fano, Forlì and Trento.
This year, COE wants to pay special attention to the “Dopofestival” in Lombardy, taking a feature film and four shorts to different towns in the region.
In collaboration with local organizers, the “journey” of the films will pass through at least 7 towns in the months following the Festivals, for two days of evening screenings and, where possible, with screenings for schools as well.
Contacts have already been made in Lecco, Brescia, Varese, Como, Bergamo, Mantua, Lodi and Pavia.
The initiative of “Dopofestival” in Lombardy will be announced at the general press conference of the Festival and will then be presented to the press with a specific press conference.
