| Synopsis |
| “I’ve come back… I miss my friends, the air in Italy… Here it’s like a prison.” The short sentences of the prologue summarize all the suffering of six migrants who have returned home to the provinces of Khouribga, Beni Mellal and Fkih Ben Salah, the so-called “Triangle of Death”, the main area of emigration from Morocco. Often forced to return against their will, they experience the humiliation and frustration of returning to poverty, they are reabsorbed by their families and regret the freedom they won in Europe as women. |

Juan Martin Baigorria was born in Argentina and has lived in Bologna for several years. He studied IT engineering and then devoted himself to photography and documentaries. As director of photography, he worked with the winters of the 2009 Ilaria Alpi prize Lisa Tormena and Matteo Lolletti and for the Sunset cooperative. He has published a reportage on Moroccan migration in the book Premio Fotografico of the National Association of Professional Photographers.
Lisa Tormena holds a degree in International Sciences and Diplomacy, is a freelance journalist and documentary maker. She worked as a research assistant and radio and TV journalist and then moved on to making documentaries of a social nature. In 2010, she founded the Sunset cooperative which deals with video production and social communication. |
