Designing Africa 3.0

LagosPhoto are pleased to announce the exhibition “Designing Africa 3.0” curated by the founder of LagosPhoto and Martina Olivetti. “Designing Africa 3.0” explores contemporary dialogue surrounding design in Africa. This exhibition explores this tradition by focusing on a new generation of artists, photographers and creatives united by digital tools and a new vision of artistic creation in Africa. This exhibition sheds light on how the design production in Africa can be a mirror of societies transitions but also a source of inspiration for younger generations of Africans and others intrigued by the continent. Launched in 2010, LagosPhoto Festival is organized by The African Artists Foundation as part of an ongoing project designed to use art in public spaces as a medium for increasing societal awareness. Lagos Photo Festival is the first international art festival of photography in Nigeria, African Artists’ Foundation (AAF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of contemporary African art.
