Feng Xiaogang
Feng Xiaogang joined the Beijing Military Region Art Troupe as set designer after school, to then devote himself to screenwriting. His popularity as an actor came in the second half of the 1990s, when he started to explore a new world of comedy, portraying the dreams and aspirations of ordinary people. 2000 was the year of the turning point in his cinema: Feng directed a drama on divorce, Sigh, which was to be an unprecedented success. In the following years, he worked on spectacular films and, that to their phenomenal commercial success, but also into the artistic qualities of his films, he has earned the nickname of the Chinese Spielberg.
