Synopsis:
In a remote region of the Andes, Segundo, a 14 year-old boy, wants to become a master like his father in the art of the retablo (altar-piece) and carry on the family tradition, But one day, he accidentally discovers a very private secret of his father and his world collapses around him. A very painful path to maturity awaits him and Segundo will have to face the crude reality of a patriarchal and violent society, discovering an even deeper bond with his father than he could ever have imagined.
